Reiki is a Japanese word meaning "Universal Life Force Energy," the ocean of energy that is all around us. Healing energy is channeled through the practitioner's hands and the patient is healed not by the Reiki practitioner, but by the Universal Life Force Energy flowing into him or her through the practitioner, who has been "attuned" to such channeling under the guidance of a Reiki Master. To best prepare for your reiki session, we recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and refrain from consuming caffeine or alcohol for at least two hours prior to your appointment. Additionally, we suggest you take some time to relax your mind and body by doing some light stretching, deep breathing, or meditating to get into a relaxed state before your session.
